The Old Students Association of Aramoko District Commercial
Secondary School (ADICO), Aramoko-Ekiti has inaugurated its first elected
Executive Council to steer the affairs of the association after decades of management
by administrators and transitional committees.
At a keenly contested election held in June 2026, Pastor
Oyewole Awodire emerged as the president of the first-ever elected Executive
Council alongside 10 other old students from different sets of the school.
The other newly elected officers are Alhaji Bamgbola Adeniyi
(Vice-President I), Deaconess Abidemi Omotosho (Vice-President II), Akingbolu
Sheu Sulyman (Secretary-General), Oni Taiwo Oluwadare (Assistant General
Secretary) and Mrs. Adeyinka Oyeniyi (Nee Olukoya) as (Treasurer).
Others include Mr. Adebayo Segun (Director of Media and
Publicity), Adegboyegbe Akinwole Akintomide (Financial Secretary), Oni-Obaseki
Kehinde Sola (Nee Bakare) (Welfare Officer I), Kolawole Adelekan Ayodeji (Welfare
Officer II) and Olowe Olaniyi Alex (Social Secretary).
In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity
of the association, Segun Adebayo after the inauguration of the new alumni
leadership, the new president promised that the administration would work
tirelessly for the growth and development of ADICO.
Awodire who hinted at prioritizing the revitalization of Boarding
House system, solicited the cooperation and unflinching support from members to
actualize the lofty dreams of the Association.
Also, the Transitional Committee Chairman who was represented
by Hon Sesan Okere expressed joy at the successful inauguration of the
first-ever elected.
Other speakers at the inauguration charged the newly
constituted Executive Council to deliver on their mandate for the progress of the
school and old students.
ADICO was established in 1970 and has produced over fifty-one
(51) Sets of old students who are making marks in their various fields of
endeavor all over the world.
