...Urges Support for APC's Oyebanji

The chairman of Ado West Local Council Development Area, Prince Adebolu Aladesanmi, has handed out palliatives to vulnerable households, the elderly, and low-income families within the Council area.
Distributing the palliatives in Ado Ekiti, Aladesanmi stated that the initiative was a reflection of the council’s commitment to responsive and people-centered governance.
The chairman who noted that the turnout was larger this time due to the governor’s support, announced that two months’ worth of the monthly stipend for the elderly popularly called 'Owo Arugbo' would be paid to beneficiaries, alongside food items for selected residents across the council area.
“This is our way of showing that we see you, we hear you, and we are committed to prioritizing your welfare,” he said.
Aladesanmi who pledged to continue the initiative throughout his second term urged residents to support the re-election bid of the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the forthcoming election.
The council boss said the re-election if Oyebanji would help to continue the people-centred programmes currently being carried out across the State.
Speaking at the event, State APC Chairman Hon. Sola Eleshin described the Ado West Chairman as a good leader who revived and sustained the Owo Arugbo scheme.
He urged residents to vote for APC and not stay at home on election day, stressing that every vote counts.
Elesin urged the council area to deliver at least 85,000 of the 89,000 registered votes within the area.
He described the party as a “national cake” open to all, and called on residents to campaign more for the party ahead of the election.
Also speaking, Hon. Mike Akinleye, Ado APC Chairman, urged the people to pray for the progress of the governor, stating that their votes matter.
He advised residents to vote for the right candidate and to contact party agents if they encounter any challenges on election day.
Hon. Chief Bosun Osaloni, Chairman of Ado Local Government, also encouraged residents to vote for APC, saying it is the best way to support the government and the Ado West LCDA Chairman. He assured that the palliatives would cut across all beneficiaries.
Residents who received the items expressed appreciation for the gesture and called for sustained interventions.
At the programme, beneficiaries received food items and essential materials aimed at providing immediate relief.
